One of the #LastPayphonesInDC (and the only one remining downtown) is at is 1432 H St, NW. This payphone has a traditional pedestal and is in overall great shape! While technically active, this phone is pending removal so if you’d like to place a call, the time is now.
As part of our regulatory duties, we certify every payphone in the District. That used to be quite the task, but now in 2021 just six payphones are active in the entire city.
Our #LastPayphonesInDC series will highlight the payphones that remain before they're gone for good.
